Selway pics

Here are some of the pictures from our Selway trip. We just got back yesterday, and it was a great time. Perfect weather, good river level, fabulous food, great company, I can't think of anything I would change (other than my run in Double Drop).

I was out of the money as far as our pool goes: the river dropped quickly in the days before our launch. It was close to my level when Sparky and I actually arrived at the put-in: 3.8' but we got there a day early, and by the time of our launch, it was down to 3.2'. So Backstroke won the pool. Very disappointing. On the other hand, it was still a very good level to do the river, especially for a first time, as it was for all of us. (As usual, click to embiggen)

Rounding out the team were of course Sparky and I, and here we are with me pointing at the absolutely huge hole in Double Drop that you want to avoid. Later I showed everyone that it wasn't really that dangerous:
