That's "Middle Fork"ing for the non-river literate. As in "Middle Fork of the Salmon" in Idaho. Sparky and I just got back, and it was a great trip. Other than the first day, the weather was great, the water was at a very forgiving level, we could not have asked for a better June trip. Here are a couple of photos to whet your appetite.
That would be me running the "tree slalom" at Lake Creek:
Sparky, hitting the big wave at Tappan Falls:
Falafel night: Mmmmm.....
Note the excellent rowing technique: Leaning forward, arms extended, pushing through the wave.
Sparky getting worked over in Cramer Creek rapid: but she made it through upright. Yay, Sparky!
More photos, videos and descriptions to come (including Sparky's big flip!).
